Quality and food safety
Quality and food safety are important. The seaweed producers have worked together to develop guidelines for the cultivation and processing of seaweed to ensure safe and good products. Several of the producers are Debio (organic) approved.
A summary of the guidelines and fact sheets on nutritional content is available below.
As a food, seaweed can be compared to vegetables as the different varieties have different tastes, properties, textures and colors, and differ from each other in the same way as apples, pumpkins and herbs.
